Jody's journey in equestrian sport was developed during her formative years while training in the Netherlands, Canada and the USA.
The direction and focus towards a future in show jumping truly began in the fall of 1995, when Jody was selected as a Canadian delegate, to compete at the Children's International Invitational Jumper competition in Curacao, Venezuela.
During her University days, Jody was a member of the Canadian International University Team, earning top podium results in 2000, 2001 and 2002 at the International University Student Riding Competitions (AIEC) hosted in Luxembourg, Netherlands and the World Championships in Belgium (WUEC).
Developing and training show jumping horses has provided Jody with hands-on experience, along with building relationships with equine sport leaders worldwide.
As head trainer and manager of Byden Farm Training and Sales Division, Jody enjoys mentoring dedicated youth and emerging riders, and readily shares her knowledge and skills.
Jody lives in Metcalfe (Ottawa), Ontario, Canada with her husband Scott and their two young sons.
